Welsh sailors win GBR team places
Optimist Selections 2008
Congratulations to Tom Pain & Nia Jones for selection into the GBR European Team and to David Pain for Selection into the GBR Swiss Team. A great effort under tense circumstances as the final races of the Selection trials held over the second three day weekend endured light and variable breeze. In total 8 Welsh sailors finished in the top 50 of this event which brings together only the top 90 Optimist sailors in the UK to Select the teams for 2008.
A great measure of Optimist sailing in Wales which for 2008 is fronted by Cardiff Bay who like the “ospreys” continue to fill Welsh Squad and team places.
