Congratulations, to the Welsh Team selected to sail for Wales at the 2008 Eric Twiname Championships taking place at Rutland Sailing Club on the 10th & 11th of May.
This event is the pinnacle of the RYA’s Junior racing calendar, which is now in its 22nd year. It will see young competitors in over 285 boats and windsurfers pit their sailing skills against the best young talents from each of six English Zones, and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, in a bid to help their Zone or home country team clinch the coveted Eric Twiname Shield at the end of the weekend.
As a representative of Wales your entry to this event is free thanks to the Eric Twiname Trust and competitors will enjoy 2 days racing, and competitor dinner on Saturday and an opportunity to further represent Wales in an evenings human football competition.
To help our team’s chances at the event will be Kate Williams – our 2008 ET team coach.
