The Welsh Yachting Association (WYA) is the Governing Body for sailing, windsurfing and boating in Wales. It is the Royal Yachting Association Council for Wales. The WYA was established as a company limited by guarantee in 1994.
The WYA represents 115 clubs and associations and over 25000 participants in the sport in Wales. It is grant aided by the Sports Council for Wales and works closely with the National Watersports Centre at Plas Menai, where the Association’s office is based.
The WYA delivers its programmes through three Regional Committees in south, north and west Wales.
